Podere Forte is found near the town of Siena in the Val d'Orcia, which stretches from the hills of Montalcino and Castiglione d'Orcia to the olcanic rock of Monte Amiata. For centuries the estate was known as Podere Petrucci (the name of Podere Forte's spectacular Sangiovese wine) When Pasquale Forte acquired the estate his goal was to find terroir that could be preserved in its most natural state and would yield powerful yet balanced wine. Today Podere Forte achieves that balance by farming biodynamically and the results are undeniably impressive.
